The Power Domain

The power domain is a vital aspect of awakening, yet it's often misunderstood and even feared. In modern society, power is typically equated with domination, control, and the ability to influence or manipulate others, what we might call “power over.” This distorted view of power leads many on the spiritual path to disown or reject their own power, fearing it will corrupt or harm. But true power, authentic power is not about dominance; it’s about alignment. It’s the grounded capacity to stand in our truth, to inhabit our boundaries, and to act from the deep well of our own being. It arises not from ego, but from essence. When we awaken to our real power, we stop outsourcing authority and begin to trust our inner knowing, our values, and our capacity to affect change without betraying who we are.

Embracing the power domain means reclaiming our right to exist fully and to express ourselves with clarity, courage, and integrity. It means no longer shrinking to fit into societal norms or spiritual ideals that ask us to be passive, silent, or invisible. Authentic power is fierce and tender, it can say “Yes” and "No” with equal grace. It honors others without abandoning the self. In this domain, we come to know ourselves as inherently worthy, capable of setting boundaries, making choices, and shaping our lives in alignment with what matters most. When power is reclaimed in this way, it becomes a force for liberation, not just for ourselves, but for others as well. It allows our awakening to move from a private experience into embodied action, rooted in truth and radiating outward into the world.
